John Collver's 97th Birthday
The Akron Beacon Journal has a great article about North Alumnus John Collver, who just celebrated his 97th birthday.
Mrs. Stewart was there during the celebration. She said, "Most of you saw the pictures of Elijah and TY in the paper greeting John Collver. What the article did not include was the long, thoughtful conversation that they had with him and how invested they were in hearing his stories. There are 8 decades separating them and yet they were discussing sports and school like they were teammates. I felt honored just to observe the moment."
