Our Viking wrestlers competed in the sectional tournament at Austintown-Fitch HS and each, and every member contributed to the Vikings having an outstanding team showing. We outscored both Brush and Ellet as a team. Contributing to this effort were:

We also had some individual successes. Standing on the podium were:
Prajwal Rai – 6th place
Sashigen Subba – 6th place
Representing North as a District alternate:
Avinash Mongar 5th place
Representing the Vikings as a District Qualifier:
Elijah Gervins 3rd place
And wrestling what was arguably the best tournament of his career, district qualifier:
Sanjil Magar 2nd place
Below are pictures of them on the podium. It was really nice to see that much black and yellow and hear Akron North repeated over and over! Our qualifiers and alternates will travel to Hoover HS this Friday at noon to start the district tournament which runs through Saturday evening.
And I have included one last picture that really shows the attitude of the team and just what a great group they are. It is about 11.5 hours after the bus pulled out of North, we are tired and hungry.
They really do make me proud to be a Viking.
