
13 North HS students participated at the recent STEM Expo (Science Fair) held at Ellet HS. Junior
Breya DeGraffinreed earned a Superior rating and gold medal for her project. "Stroop Effect: A Comparison of ESL and non-ESL Teenagers."
Breya also earned a $50 cash award from the Office of the Naval Reserve for project excellence. With her Superior rating, she advances to the Western Reserve Regional Science Fair to be held at the University of Akron on March 21st. Additionally, juniors
Ma Cho and
Paw Moo earned silver medals and received invitations to compete at the BEST Medicine Engineering Fair on April 4th, sponsored by Cleveland State University. Juniors
Ugyen Sherpa and
Eduardo Escareno earned a $25 cash award and a silver medal for their "Battery Buggy" engineering project. Other students earning silver medals were
