The Winter Sports Banquet was held March 21. With the support of the Central Athletic Office we have had the same format for the past 2 years and with each banquet we have been fortunate to see our attendance grow. Not only do our student athletes have the opportunity to be recognized by their teammates and peers, but also by parents and family members whose numbers have also increased with this format.
North was represented at Media Day at the AEA building by seniors softball players Peyton Santacroce and Kiah Jenkins and senior baseball players Billy Anderson and Jaedin Browder.
All City Academic Awards
To earn this award you must have a GPA of at least 3.4
Representing girls basketball: Angela Douglas, Dakeyla Humphrey and Akilah Primm
Representing wrestling: Chaudralyn Bell and Nsenga Hakizimana
Representing bowling: Billy Anderson, Kiah Jenkins (4.0), Neema Tamang (4.0) and Carolina Moreno (4.33)
All City Athletic Awards
Girls basketball had one athlete receive All City recognition. Congratulations to Paris Snell for receiving Honorable Mention.
Boys basketball had one athlete receive All City recognition. Congratulations to Michael Brown for receiving Honorable Mention.
Bowling had one athlete recognized. Congratulations to Kiah Jenkins for having the high series with a 358. It is also important to note that Kiah participated on the boys bowling team
Finally, our Wrestling team had 5 wrestlers medal at the City Series tournament. Taking 2nd place at the 106 weight class is Yubak Karki, taking 2nd at the 113 weight class is Kamal Tamang and taking 2nd at the 126 weight class is Karma Sharpa.
We had 2 City Series champions. Congratulations to Jarrell Johnson for taking gold at the 195 weight class and Nsenga Hazikama for taking gold at the 220 weight class.
