DECA Competition 2019

North High students were recognized for their placement at the District 9 DECA competition held at Kent State University on January 29, 2019. The students below qualified to attend the Career Development Conference held in Columbus, Ohio on March 15-16, 2019. The students will compete at the state level for an opportunity to compete at the International Career Development Conference, which will be held in Orlando, Florida, April 27th through April 30th. The results are the following:

· Heaven Perry & Sariah Campbell–1st Place (Business Law & Ethics Team Event)

· Barun Ghimire – 2nd Place (Food Marketing)

· Amariea Murry – 2nd (Human Resources)

· Destiny Druso – 2nd Place (Retail Merchandising)

· Syrennity Rogers– 2nd Place (Hotel & Lodging)

· Madison Neville – 2nd Place(Principles of Finance)

· Mynor Escobar– 2nd (Principles of Marketing)

· Dajanique Thomas–3rd Place (Quick Serve Restaurant Management)

· Tet Tet –3rd Place(Principles of Finance)

· Mingqi Luo & Anisha Gurung – 3rd Place (Marketing Management Team Event)

· Angie Morales 3rd Place (Business Services)

· Rashid Chisholm 4th Place (Principles of Hospitality)
