Boys Basketball Scores Big Wins

Scoreboard Shows North's VictoryBoth the JV and Varsity team posted wins Feb. 18 against Fuchs Mizrachi. The JV team came from behind to win 48-40 and Varsity won 64-49. We also held our first All Sport Senior Night which included seniors from boys basketball, girls basketball, wrestling and both the girls and boys bowling teams. I have included pictures of the seniors who were recognized and included the information that was shared as they were escorted across the court. I would like to thank Mrs. Sabetta for congratulating the seniors as they were announced and presenting them with flowers. I would also like to thank Coach Emily for organizing the athletes and their escorts and a special thank you to Julie Jacob who, after receiving a panicked call, left her Game of Thrones marathon and broke land speed records to show up in time to be an emergency escort.








Chaudralyn Bell
CJ


Our first senior is wrestler Chaudralyn Bell. Chaudralyn is escorted by her brothers Quamaine Stewart and James Farrell. Chaudralyn has participated in volleyball for 4 years, softball for 1 year and wrestling for 1 year.

She has also been a student council member for 4 years, a choir member for 4 years and is in DECA, a student ambassador and serves on the senior advisory board.

Upon graduation Chaudralyn plans to study music theory at the University of Akron and become a music teacher and voice coach.

Her favorite high school memory is participating in the national DECA event in Atlanta, Georgia.

Daneisha Craig-McDowell
Daneisha


Daneisha Craig-McDowell is a senior bowler and is being escorted by Jerome Hall. Daneisha has been part of the bowling program for the past 2 years.

In addition to bowling, Daneisha is a volunteer at the Akron Canton Food Bank and is a part of the North High School ECE program.

Upon graduation, Daneisha plans to enter the workforce.

Her favorite memory is the senior picnic and just enjoying this year with her classmates. She would like to give a special thank you to her teachers Mrs. Lyle and Mr. Englehart for their guidance and support.

Da’Keyla Humphrey

Da’Keyla Humphrey is a senior member of the girls basketball team. Da'Keyla has participated on the basketball team for 3 years, volleyball for 4 years and track for 4 years.

Upon graduation Da'Kelya plans to attend Kent State University where she will study obstetrics and gynecology.

Jason Johnson

Jason Johnson is a senior member of the basketball team. Jason is escorted by his father Jason Johnson, his stepmother Allie Johnson, his sister Jada Dietz and Brianna Black. Jason has been a member of the basketball team all 4 years of high school and as well as playing 4 years of football.

Jason has also been a member of the DECA program for 2 years.

Upon graduation Jason plans to attend college and study criminal justice.

His favorite athletic memory is tying the school’s 3-point record last year.

Addie Taylor – Addie is a senior member of the basketball team. Addie is escorted by Julie Jacob.

Addie has been a member of the basketball team for 2 years and was also a member of the cross country team for a year.

Addie has also been a member of the DECA program for 2 years.

Upon graduation Addie plans to get an associate degree in business and become an entrepreneur.

Addie’s favorite memory is getting back on track academically so he could enjoy his senior year and participate in the athletic program.
